Seniors Together - 'together again'
Published: Thursday 12 May 2022
For the first time in more than two years, Seniors Together members met in person this week.
The pandemic meant most of the group’s activities had to move online, but more than 55 members gathered in Hamilton Town House to catch up over tea, coffee and cake.
The informal gathering was rounded off by an Option Finder ‘Have your say’ session and Seniors Together Manager, Christine Calder, said: “It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces and have a catch up with them.
“We know the pandemic has been hard for many of our members, and we did of course still engage with them online as much as we could.
“But there is nothing to beat having face-to-face conversations and it was very much a relaxed and informal get together."
Catriona Mason, Chairperson of the project, said: “We hope this will be the first of many get-togethers and meetings this year – keep your eyes peeled for details of our events on our Facebook page and the council’s social media.”
