Earn double points at nature reserves during holidays
Published: Wednesday 27 December 2023

Are you taking part in the Think, Move Breathe Campaign?
Then why not get down to your local nature reserve over the holidays for double points and a bonus for going regularly.
Whether it's with family, friends or by yourself, South Lanarkshire's nature reserves are a great place to spend time outdoors, do a bit of exercise and walk off that Christmas dinner.
Chair of the council’s Community and Enterprise Resources Committee, Councillor Robert Brown, said: “This is another great incentive to take part in the Think, Move Breathe challenge.
“As well as getting some exercise and helping improve air quality, you can earn double points which can then be spent at participating local businesses.
“If you haven’t already signed up to take part, now is as good a time as any, and if you are already participating then why not take advantage of this offer.”
The nature reserves in South Lanarkshire are:
- Blantyre: Blantyre, Bothwell & Uddingston; Greenhall, Millheugh & Barnhill
- Cambuslang/Rutherglen: Cuningar Loop, Fernbrae Meadows, Holmhills Wood Community Park, Westburn
- Carluke: Jock's Burn, Milton
- East Kilbride: Glen Esk Pocket Park, James Hamilton Heritage Park, Langlands Moss, Mossneuk
- Hamilton: Backmuir Woods, Cadzow Glen, Hamilton Low Parks, Neilsland & Earnock, Udston & Glenlee Woods
- Larkhall/Stonehouse: Morgan Glen, Stonehouse Park
