Check your energy meter
Published: Friday 28 June 2024
Do you have a radio teleswitch or dynamically teleswitched energy meter?
Electricity suppliers are currently contacting customers with radio teleswitch (RTS) or dynamically teleswitched (DTS) electricity meters to advise that these meters will need to be replaced.
This is because the BBC radio frequency they use is being switched off.
It is expected that all RTS and DTS meters will be replaced by the end of March 2025.
The council does not hold information on types of meters within council homes, so if you’re not sure whether you have an RTS or DTS meter, please contact your electricity supplier to check if your meter will need to be replaced.
