Have your say on the Housing Repairs Policy
Published: Friday 28 June 2024

We will shortly be reviewing our Repairs Policy and are keen for tenants and other customers to have their say.
As a landlord, the council has a statutory duty to provide a repairs service to maintain council homes to an acceptable standard.
The revised Repairs Policy will be developed with tenant representatives from the Tenant Participation Co-ordination Group and aims to ensure that customers continue to be provided with a high quality comprehensive and efficient repairs service.
The revised policy will set out our approach to dealing with repairs to council homes and covers the responsive and planned repairs service we provide, including:
- repairs reported directly by customers
- repairs identified through routine management of the housing stock and estates
- planned programmes of maintenance
Consultation on the revised policy will take place later this year and there will be a range of ways to get involved, including an online survey available on the council’s website.
