Musical celebration will help local Hospice
Published: Thursday 19 September 2024
A spectacular musical showcase is set to tour South Lanarkshire over the coming months.
Compered by Pop Idol winner Michelle McManus and Britain’s Got Talent sensation Edward Reid, the Touch a Life Make a Difference Tour will raise funds for Kilbryde Hospice.
It is part of the Touch a Life Make a Difference initiative led by Provost Margaret Cooper and partnered by the Lord Lieutenant of Lanarkshire’s office.
There will also be performances by SoundSational Choir, Arietta Choir, Hamilton Caledonian Male Voice Choir, Strathaven Strummers, Local Secondary Schools and many more
Provost Cooper said: “I hope as many people as possible will come along to one of the events, not only supporting a wonderful local cause, but also enjoying an evening of fantastic musical performances.
“We have already raised a significant amount for the Kilbryde Hospice, but I hope this tour pushes our total even higher.”
The tour begins at Rutherglen Town Hall on Thursday 3 October, then visits East Kilbride Village Theatre on Wednesday 9 October and Hamilton Town House on Tuesday 22 October before coming to a close at Lanark Memorial Hall on Wednesday 30 October.
You can purchase tickets for all four events at the SLLC Box Office. Tickets cost £10 or £8 for concessions. There is also a £20 family (x4) ticket available (all sales subject to £1.50 transaction fee).
