Published: Friday 14 March 2025
A pavement in Lanark is to be resurfaced from next week.
The work will take place on St Leonards Street (south side between no's 36 and 52 –old Post Office and Car Park) in the town from Monday 17 March and is expected to last for 10 days.
Work will only take place between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day.
To facilitate the work and to ensure work force/public safety the following traffic/ pedestrian management will be in place:
- St Leonard Street – Two Way temporary traffic signals in operation with pedestrian phase.
- St Leonard Street – Parking restrictions on the south side between numbers 52 and 68.
- St Leonard Street – Footway closure on the southside between numbers 36 and 52.
- Kildare Road – Road closure between St Leonards Street and Hall Place.
Head of Roads, Fleet and Transportation Services, Colin Park, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause to roads users and pedestrians.
“The closures are essential though to allow us to complete the improvements.
“We hope residents of Lanark and beyond will appreciate the long-term benefits of these works."
