Book now for panto fun with Jack and the giant
Published: Friday 9 May 2025
All the fun and tradition of panto – with a modern twist – will see Jack and the Beanstalk entertain audiences later this year.
For the 12th year running, South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture (SLLC) and New College Lanarkshire have combined to bring together professional actors and students to provide a top-quality show and showcase local talent.
Jack and the Beanstalk will be staged at The Town House, in Hamilton, from 29 November to 7 December, and at Rutherglen Town Hall from 10 to 23 December.
The production will delight audiences of all ages with a high-energy, heartwarming reimagining of the classic tale.
Audiences will share in the fun provided by Jack, the Giant, Jack’s true love Princess Lulu, fairy-in-training Farquhar who pines for Jack’s sister, Jessie, and Moomoo, the disco-dancing cow.
Gregor Duncan, Academic Leader for Performing Art at New College Lanarkshire, said: “We are really excited to be working with South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture for a 12th year and will be working with them over the coming months to give audiences a wonderful lead in to the festive season.”
Kay Morrison, Chief Executive of SLLC, said: “This highlights our close relationship with New College Lanarkshire and our commitment to giving local talent a platform to demonstrate their talents and potential.”
Tickets are on sale now, costing £16.50 (£15 for concessions) and are available in person at both venues, online at the Box Office or by calling 01698 452299 for Hamilton Town House or 0141 613 5700 for Rutherglen Town Hall.
