Major improvements on way for road in Cambuslang

Improvement works are to be carried out on a road in Cambuslang from next week.
The works on Hallside Boulevard will see the carriageway resurfaced and lining improvement works taking place across 21 days, subject to favourable weather conditions.
The work will start on Sunday 7 September and is scheduled to be completed at 6pm on Friday 3 October.
The works will be split into five phases:
Phase 1 - Sunday 7 September 2025
- Half of the roundabout at Hallside Boulevard and Village Road
Phase 2 – Monday 8 to Friday 12 September
- Village Road to Elder Crescent (including half of the roundabout at each location)
Phase 3 – Monday 15 to Friday 19 September
- Elder Crescent to Lilac Wynd (including half of the roundabout at each location)
Phase 4 – Monday 22 to Friday 26 September
- Lilac Wynd to Laburnum Avenue (including half of the roundabout at each location)
Phase 5 – Tuesday 30 September to Friday 3 October
- Laburnum Avenue to A724 Hamilton Road (including half of the roundabout at Laburnum Avenue)
Access will be maintained for all residents for the duration of the works, with signed diversions in place for each phase.
Head of Roads, Transportation and Fleet Services, Colin Park, said: “We apologise in advance for any inconvenience these works may cause to road users.
“We would request that all road users allow additional time for all journeys which involve the use of Hallside Boulevard during the times indicated and that they plan their routes accordingly.
“We are sure road users will appreciate the long-term benefits of the improvements when the work has been completed.”
