Essential roadworks along A721 Carnwath Road

A stretch of the A721 Carnwath Road will be closed for improvement works next week.
The A721 between Harelaw roundabout and Cleghorn Dykes Road junction will be closed for carriageway surface dressing from Thursday 28 May 2026.
The road will be closed for up to three days to allow the works to be completed, weather and resources permitting.
The diversion route will be via: A721, A73, A706 and vice-versa.
Head of Roads, Transportation and Fleet Services, Colin Park, said: “We apologise in advance for any inconvenience to road users during these essential road works.
“Please allow additional time for all journeys which involve the use of this stretch of the A721 throughout the duration of these improvement works.”
